At Layne Farms, our caring and dedicated staff love what they do and it shows. We know that our beloved broodmares are the keys to our industry and should be cared for accordingly.
We have extremely high standards when it comes to creating and maintaining a safe, comfortable and soothing environment for our "mares-in-waiting".

With regards to the safety of your mare and foal, we think it's best that she arrive at our farm at no later then 320th day of gestation.
Before she arrives at our facility, she should be given her EWT, FLU, Strep-Vac, & West Nile booster protection shots.

Upon arrival, we will get your mare settled in, at which point all audio/video devices will be turned on and our staff will begin monitoring her 24 hrs a day. Once the cameras are turned on,
you will have direct access to them through the links provided on our website. If you so choose, we can contact you by phone or pager at the onset of labor.

After the foaling process, we will apply iodine to the umbilical cord, and remain on watch until the foal stands and nurses.

Mare Care:
$18/day-dry
$20.00/day- wet.
